For example, an image that is displayed at a width wider than the viewport can cause the viewport to scroll horizontally. When developing a mobile site with a meta viewport tag, it's easy to accidentally create page content that doesn't quite fit within the specified viewport. On both desktop and mobile devices, users are used to scrolling websites vertically but not horizontally forcing the user to scroll horizontally or to zoom out in order to see the whole page results in a poor user experience. Therefore we would not recommend using these attributes. When set, these can disable the user's ability to zoom the viewport, potentially causing accessibility issues. In addition to setting an initial-scale, you can also set the following attributes on the viewport: The Does not have a tag with width or initial-scale Lighthouse audit can help you automate the process of making sure that your HTML documents are using the viewport meta tag correctly. To ensure that older browsers can properly parse the attributes, use a comma to separate attributes. Adding the value initial-scale=1 instructs browsers to establish a 1:1 relationship between CSS pixels and device-independent pixels regardless of device orientation, and allows the page to take advantage of the full landscape width. Some browsers keep the page's width constant when rotating to landscape mode, and zoom rather than reflow to fill the screen. An example of how the page loads in a device with the viewport meta tag. An example of how the page loads in a device without the viewport meta tag. This allows the page to reflow content to match different screen sizes, whether rendered on a small mobile phone or a large desktop monitor. A device (or density) independent pixel being a representation of a single pixel, which may on a high density screen consist of many physical pixels. Using the meta viewport value width=device-width instructs the page to match the screen's width in device-independent pixels. This means that font sizes may appear inconsistent to users, who may have to double-tap or pinch-to-zoom in order to see and interact with the content. To attempt to provide the best experience, mobile browsers render the page at a desktop screen width (usually about 980px, though this varies across devices), and then try to make the content look better by increasing font sizes and scaling the content to fit the screen. A meta viewport tag gives the browser instructions on how to control the page's dimensions and scaling. Pages optimized for a variety of devices must include a meta viewport tag in the head of the document. Modern responsive design considers all of these things to optimize the experience for everyone. For example some of your visitors will be using a touchscreen. In addition, devices have different features with which we interact with them. Screen sizes are always changing, so it's important that your site can adapt to any screen size, today or in the future. In this video the design moves from a narrow to a wide viewport, responding to the available screen real estate.Ī multitude of different screen sizes exist across phones, "phablets," tablets, desktops, game consoles, TVs, and even wearables. For example, on a phone users would see content shown in a single column view a tablet might show the same content in two columns. The layout changes based on the size and capabilities of the device. Responsive web design, originally defined by Ethan Marcotte in A List Apart, responds to the needs of the users and the devices they're using. The use of mobile devices to surf the web continues to grow at an astronomical pace, and these devices are often constrained by display size and require a different approach to how content is laid out on the screen. There is only limited information about PUFA oxygenation by microorganisms in gastrointestinal tracts, amidst the generally low occurrence of oxygen-consuming enzymes therein. 5-LOX is found in myeloid cells, 12-LOX in the skin and epithelial cells, 15-LOX in dendritic and enteric glial cells, and COX-2 and CYP450 isoforms in epithelial cells. Pro-resolving M2-like macrophages can express all enzymes that are required for SPM biosynthesis other cell types expressing only selected enzymes can do so together with complementing cells via transcellular metabolism. Biosynthesis of SPM involves LOX, COX-2, and cytochrome P450 monooxygenases (CYP450), and has been described in detail for eukaryotic cells, in particular for granulocytes, monocytes, and macrophages. SPM act as potent agonists of active inflammation resolution, signaling via e.g., G-protein coupled receptors at nano- to picomolar concentrations. These products include maresins (MaR), E- and D-series resolvins (RvE and RvD), protectins (PD), lipoxins (LX), and precursors thereof such as 18-hydroxy-eicosapentaenoic acid (18-HEPE), 17-hydroxy-docosahexaenoic acid (17-HDHA), and 17,18-epoxyeicosatetraenoic acid (17,18-EEQ), collectively referred to as specialized pro-resolving mediators (SPM). More recently, several oxygenation products of n-3 PUFA and n-6 PUFA (e.g., arachidonic acid, AA) have been identified and functionally characterized as crucial mediators of their beneficial health effects, in particular with respect to the amelioration of chronic inflammatory conditions. Their modes of action involve e.g., direct scavenging of reactive oxygen species, alteration of cell membrane fluidity, which subsequently affects cellular signaling events, modulation of the activity of transcription factors such as peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor γ (PPARγ) and nuclear factor κB (NFκB) that orchestrate the biosynthesis of pro- and anti-inflammatory cytokines, and competitive exclusion of substrates that are converted to pro-inflammatory lipid mediators by cyclooxygenases (COX) and lipoxygenases (LOX). n-3 PUFA, in general, have anti-inflammatory, cardio- and neuroprotective effects. n-3 PUFA can exert a range of health benefits and are ingested with the regular diet or through fortified foods, dietary supplements, or pharmaceutical products. While dietary ALA primarily derives from some plants (flaxseed, soybean, canola), dietary EPA and DHA are mainly of seafood origin (fatty fish, krill, algae). N-3 Polyunsaturated fatty acids ( n-3 PUFA) mainly comprise the long-chain fatty acids alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). Further investigations are warranted to confirm and expand these findings, which may create a new class of n-3 PUFA interventions targeting inflammation resolution. To the best of our knowledge, we report here for the first time the development and in vivo application of a self-sufficient SPM-producing formulation. Supplementation with a synbiotic capsule product led to significantly increased plasma levels of hydroxy-eicosapentaenoic acids (5-HEPE, 15-HEPE, 18-HEPE) and hydroxy-docosahexaenoic acids (4-HDHA, 7-HDHA) as well as eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) in healthy humans. A pilot study was performed to test if a synbiotic Bacillus megaterium/ n-3 PUFA formulation increases SPM levels in vivo. All 48 tested Bacillus megaterium strains fed with the n-3 PUFA formulation produced a broad range of SPM and precursors thereof in a strain-specific manner, which may be explained by the CYP102A1 gene polymorphisms that we detected. Bacillus megaterium strains were fed highly bioavailable n-3 PUFA, followed by metabololipidomics analysis and bioinformatic assessment of the microbial genomes. To overcome the limitations of conventional n-3 PUFA supplementation strategies, we devised a composition enabling the self-sufficient production of SPM in vivo. Importantly, SPM biosynthesis is dysfunctional in various conditions, which may explain the inconclusive efficacy data from n-3 PUFA interventions. Specialized pro-resolving mediators (SPM) have emerged as crucial lipid mediators that confer the inflammation-resolving effects of omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids ( n-3 PUFA). Now we go to Rules and click on the button marked with a red arrow to add a new rule for the traffic tunnel. It is required at least that we add 2 servers, and it also allows to do checks by test using the lightning bolt icon. Here’s an example where we are creating one: In this case it would allow us to create a chain of proxy servers of up to 16 proxies. Just below the Proxies section you have Chains. To check if it is active or not, click on the Check now button and if it is successful the test will show you a result like this: Once we have added the Proxy server, we can see in the list of Proxies that it has been added correctly, and we can click on the lightning bolt icon, so we can check if it is active. Below you could add a username and password if it were private. Then we put a name, in Type the protocol it uses (there are several), in Hostname its IP and we add the port. Then a screen like this will appear, with the options available to install the program: The first thing we have to do is go to the download section of the program. To carry out this tutorial we are going to work with the trial version of Windows 10 Pro 64-bit. In the case of wanting to buy a full version, the price is approximately 32 euros. However, it can be tried in its 30-day trial version, which includes most of its functions. Regarding Prox圜ap, it should be noted that it is not a free program. There we can check if the proxy is available and also perform performance tests.Īs for the program, it has a support section that can help us take the first steps. It has a built-in proxy checker, thanks to which, it allows to perform a series of tests on a proxy or proxy chain. It has IPv6 support and SSO single sign-on.Proxy-side DNS support, which supports remote DNS name resolution (proxy-side) with SSH and proxy servers. It works with 32-bit or 64-bit operating systems. In this aspect, it supports mixing proxies of different types. Support for proxy chains that will allow us to create a chain of proxy servers of up to 16 proxies.Supports flexible routing rules that allow us to define our own routing rules. In addition to support for pure HTTP proxy, it can also work with TCP and UDP-based network protocols. It has built-in support for SSH tunneling. It allows tunneling applications through SOCKS4, SOCKS5, Shadowsocks and HTTPS proxy servers. Support for SOCKS, Shadowsocks and HTTPS proxy servers. Plain and simple, Physique is the most important attribute. So don’t rush maxing all skills, but instead increase mastery bar early on. It decreases the need to spread your attributes points around and gives you a better idea of where you really need to spend your points. Your two classes increase your attributes passively, which get you the points required to equip things. Regret doesn’t feel good, does it? The Solution: How to play safe with Attributes? By end game, you realize that attributes can’t be refunded and new gear needs different distribution. Except now that awesome drop isn’t awesome anymore. Then you spend one more hour, and your are level 30. Then it’s enough, so you level some more, and keep spending points this way until you able to wear it. You level up, you immediately spend your point into Spirit or Cunning. That’s where it gets tricky, you are level 20, and you get a nice drop which makes you all excited, but sadly you can’t equip due to lack of Spirit, or Cunning. Attributes gives small bonus to damage, health, or mana, but their main value is being a requirement for armors and weapons. You get one precious attribute point each level, which you can spend on Physique, Cunning, or Spirit. And it’s true, but for one small tricky part: Attributes! The problem: It’s very easy to develop the wrong attributes Which means you can virtually go crazy and make what you like, and change it all later. It’s all designed to give you freedom, and encourage experimentation. Be it faction, or some random trader you murdered on the road, you have a second and third chance to rectify your choices. All of your choices can be changed later in higher difficulties. You have the spiritual guide, an NPC who can reset your skill points and devotion points, so you can spend them elsewhere. You can customize and tweak every aspect about your character, when you first level up, or later. The customization in Grim Dawn is immense. One: Attributes aren’t there to mess with: I’ll split the tips into more than one article, to give some details on each part. But before we all get too excited about the future of Grim Dawn, I wish to share some few precious tips I’ve learned along my journey in Cairn that I wished I’d known them before I started playing. So I can’t wait to see what the Forgotten Gods have to add to the game next. The first expansion (released October, 2017) brought some interesting features like new classes and the entertaining Fashion Dawn. Grim Dawn is an Action RPG that have been around since 2016, and with every update, DLC and expansion, it’s getting better and better. The next expansion, Forgotten Gods, was announced earlier this month, and is due to be released on Steam and GoG in second half of 2018. Hopefully it’ll also make it a more enjoyable game for you. Measuring time spent can help businesses better budget and estimate what it will realistically take to complete a project so they can set a dollar amount for that time. The time they spend to do the work, the time spent on the related tasks, and time to review and change what is needed are all costs of the project/job. A designer has costs to think of beyond the tangible items: an office, desk, pencils, paper. You would not expect to go to a designer and have them design something without paying them for their service. The time you spend doing your job is important to factor into the cost of doing business. What about the industries where time is your service, such as lawyers, architects, engineers, designers? They have reduced their staff and reduced their supply of food, but the small amount of business they’re able to keep up with just carryout and delivery is, often, not enough. During COVID-19, many restaurants have struggled to find ways to keep their doors open. A restaurateur needs cooks, food, servers, busboys, a restaurant space, and so on. Let’s look at the restaurant business as an example. One way to help your bottom-line is to review the costs and see what can be reduced. And then there is the cost of TIME spent to complete the job.ĭuring the pandemic, many costs of doing business are going up with less income coming in. There is the cost of the office, furniture, supplies, people/salaries, utilities, etc. The cost of items and the time needed to complete tasks are part of the ‘ingredients’ of your business. How are you going to make the cake correctly or even know if you have enough time to make the cake without more information? You also don’t have a recipe to follow: how to put ingredients together or how long to bake the cake. However, you are missing the measurements needed for each item to make the cake. Imagine trying to bake a cake and you have the ingredients pulled out of the pantry: flour, salt, baking powder, eggs, sugar, butter, flavorings. So why don’t we view the time spent to complete a project as valuable as any tangible item for the project? The Importance of Measuring Time Spent for Your Business Giving someone the gift of your time (for instance, by taking the time to visit them, to help them out with something around the house, or just to listen to them talk when they have had a stressful day) can be just as meaningful-and often even more meaningful-than buying a gift. Time is, you may have heard people say, one of the most important things that we have in our life. We use the phrase ‘time is money’ to refer to the fact that, if we manage our time well, we can also increase our earnings. Understanding where your staff is spending their time (which activities and which projects), provides you with a fundamental awareness of how your business is doing. Why is it important to understand time spent? The single greatest expense your firm endures is related to labor. The writings of William Bradford almost never survived intact, but for the effort of a few in later American history. Intertwined are the stories of the religious persecution and the voyage to become a profitable colony in the new world. They would be the founders of a new nation, even in spite of the disunity of the passengers aboard the ship Mayflower- a speculative group in its broadest sense, sent to establish a profitable colony in America. This tiny but determined group of people went forward with plans that would affect the world like no other. They wanted to see a new sort of life, unhampered by monarchy, and what they saw as Roman Catholic hierarchy that beset the Church of England. He and the other separatists caught a vision of what could be. William Bradford had read this account in the New Testament and envisioned such a kingdom on this Earth. Wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he hath prepared for them a city. But now they desire a better country, that is, a heavenly one. And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to return. For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek another country. these all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. For by it, the elders obtained a good report. Hebrews 11: Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Pieced together over twenty years, the story developed with these passages from the New Testament as its strongest theme: Bradford was keenly intelligent and aware of his part in the history of Plymouth colony. The sounds of the New Testament echoed in the ear of William Bradford before he ever made the voyage. The story of William Bradford comes directly to us from his writings of the early history of America, from the time he grew up in England, to his time in Amsterdam and Leiden, Holland, to his journey aboard the Mayflower, concluding with the first thirty years of the Plymouth colony in America. |
